1. Classification of Compressors
As core power and process equipment in the industrial field, compressors are divided into three categories according to application scenarios. The assembly requirements of different categories are the core basis for the design of compressor assembly line solutions:
- Refrigeration and air conditioning compressors: Mainly serve household and commercial temperature control scenarios, including scroll compressors for household air conditioners, rolling rotor compressors for refrigerators, and screw compressors for large cold storage. The assembly process has extremely high requirements for sealing performance and dynamic-static balance accuracy.
- Power compressors: Use compressed air as the power source, with typical products being air compressors supporting pneumatic wrenches and painting equipment. The assembly focuses on air circuit sealing performance and pressure output stability.
- Process compressors: Used for gas compression in industrial production processes, including raw gas compressors for ammonia synthesis in the chemical industry and booster compressors for natural gas transmission pipelines. The assembly must meet the reliability requirements under high-pressure working conditions.
2. Core Conveying System of Compressor Assembly Line
This series of compressor assembly lines adopts a double-speed chain as the core ground conveying carrier, meeting the high-precision requirements for the assembly of precision compressor components:
The double-speed chain conveyor uses a 3x speed roller chain for transmission, equipped with dedicated positioning tooling pallets. The vibration amplitude during operation is ≤0.03mm, which can effectively avoid assembly deviations caused by the shaking of precision components such as cylinders, pistons and valve plates. The load capacity of the tooling pallet ranges from 10-30kg, fully covering the weight requirements of mainstream small and medium-sized compressors. It can stably complete the transfer of workpieces between key processes, such as from the cylinder boring station to the piston assembly station, and from the valve plate installation station to the sealing test area, working in coordination with the overhead suspension conveying system to realize efficient material flow.
The line body adopts an accumulation design. When the tooling pallet reaches the corresponding assembly workstation, the photoelectric sensor triggers a stopper to stop the pallet automatically. Workers can complete the assembly of precision components in a static environment, further ensuring assembly accuracy.
3. Core Advantages of Automated Compressor Assembly Line
- Significantly improved assembly efficiency: The compressor assembly line supports continuous automated production with controllable takt time, and can operate 24 hours a day without interruption. The single-line capacity is more than 3 times higher than that of traditional manual assembly, which can flexibly match order demands of different scales.
- Stable and controllable product quality: The whole process adopts standardized operation procedures, and online testing equipment is equipped to reject non-conforming products in real time. The product consistency is far higher than that of manual assembly lines, with a first-pass assembly yield of over 99%, meeting the strict quality requirements of refrigeration, chemical and other industries.
- Significant reduction in comprehensive costs: A single compressor assembly line can reduce the demand for front-line operation positions by more than 50%, lowering labor costs. At the same time, it reduces component loss caused by human operation errors, realizing cost reduction and efficiency improvement from the production end.
