1.Automobile SKD assembly line system
- The automobile SKD production line/assembly line is a production method that transports the main components of an automobile in assembly form and assembles them at the target factory to form a complete vehicle. Automobile production line/assembly line is suitable for producing 4-wheelers, cars, sedans, SUVs, etc.
2.The main processes of the automobile SKD assembly line
- Chassis module co-assembly: Lift and connect the pre-assembled chassis module (powertrain, suspension, braking system) with the body through the co-assembly line to complete bolt connection and pipeline (oil/gas/electricity) docking.
- Cockpit module installation: Hoist the pre-assembled cockpit module (including instrument panel, seats, air conditioning system) to the body, and connect wiring harnesses, trim panels, etc.
- Exterior decoration and accessory installation: Install doors, front and rear bumpers, wheels, glass, interior trim (such as carpet, steering wheel), etc. one by one.
- Functional testing: Check whether electronic systems such as lights, wipers, air conditioners, audio systems, and airbags are working normally.
- Dynamic test: Test the vehicle on the line to verify the dynamic performance, braking distance, steering feel, chassis abnormal sound, etc.
- Rain test: Simulate a heavy rain environment and check the tightness of the body (whether the doors, sunroof, air conditioner drain, etc. leak water).
3.Characteristics of automobile SKD assembly line
- Cost advantage: Modular transportation reduces the number and volume of tered parts and reduces transportation costs. At the same time, the import of semi-tered parts is subject to a lower tariff rate, which has significant cost advantages compared with the import of complete vehicles.
- High production efficiency: Pre-assembled modules reduce the number of processes on local production lines, shorten the assembly time and manufacturing cycle of a single vehicle, and are suitable for rapid mass production.
- Technical adaptability: The requirements for workers 'assembly capabilities are low, so only module docking and simple debugging are needed. At the same time, the quality control of core modules (such as powertrains) by the main engine factory is retained to avoid the risk of technology leakage.
